Student Conduct Policy for Online Classes
To ensure a respectful, productive, and safe learning environment for everyone, all students are expected to follow the rules below during online classes, tutoring sessions, speaking practice, and any other live learning activities offered through the platform.
What Students Are Expected to Do
- Join classes on time and be ready to participate.
- Treat teachers, classmates, and staff with respect at all times.
- Use polite, appropriate, and professional language during the lesson.
- Participate actively and stay focused on the class content.
- Keep their microphone muted when not speaking, if requested by the teacher.
- Use their real name or an approved display name for identification purposes.
- Attend classes from a quiet and appropriate environment whenever possible.
- Follow the teacher’s instructions, classroom guidelines, and activity rules.
- Use the platform, chat, and lesson tools only for learning-related purposes.
- Respect the privacy, opinions, and learning pace of other students.
What Students Are Not Allowed to Do
- Use offensive, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or inappropriate language.
- Interrupt the teacher or other students repeatedly in a disruptive manner.
- Share explicit, violent, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate content in video, audio, chat, screen sharing, profile images, or backgrounds.
- Record classes, take screenshots, or share class content without prior authorization from the platform or teacher.
- Impersonate another student, teacher, or staff member.
- Use fake identities, misleading account information, or unauthorized accounts.
- Promote, sell, advertise, or share unrelated products, services, or links during class.
- Engage in bullying, harassment, intimidation, or any form of disrespectful conduct.
- Attempt to contact teachers or other students outside authorized platform channels unless explicitly permitted.
- Use automated tools, bots, or unauthorized software to interfere with the class experience or platform operations.
- Cheat, copy, or submit work that is not their own when assignments or evaluations are involved.
- Disrupt the lesson intentionally through excessive noise, inappropriate gestures, spam, or misuse of classroom tools.
Camera, Audio, and Chat Expectations
- Students should use camera and microphone settings respectfully and according to the teacher’s guidance.
- The chat must be used only for relevant class communication.
- Students must not use chat to insult, distract, harass, or spam others.
- Background noise should be minimized to avoid disturbing the lesson.
- Virtual backgrounds, profile photos, and visible surroundings must remain appropriate for an educational environment.
Academic and Classroom Integrity
- Students must complete activities honestly and participate in good faith.
- Students should not deliberately avoid participation while remaining connected to the class.
- Respect for the teacher’s time, lesson structure, and classroom management is required.
- Students must not intentionally misuse bookings, class access, or platform features.
Privacy and Safety
- Students must respect the confidentiality and privacy of teachers, classmates, and platform staff.
- Personal data, private conversations, meeting links, and classroom materials must not be shared without permission.
- Any behavior that creates a hostile, unsafe, or uncomfortable environment may result in immediate intervention.
Consequences of Misconduct
Failure to follow these rules may result in one or more actions, depending on the seriousness or frequency of the behavior. These actions may include:
- A verbal or written warning
- Removal from a live class session
- Temporary suspension of booking or class access
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent removal from the platform in severe cases
The platform reserves the right to review each situation individually and take the action it considers necessary to protect the learning environment, platform integrity, and community safety.
